The 2025 Malayalam film Written & Directed by God OTT, starring actors Saiju Kurup and Sunny Wayne, has finally announced its OTT release date. The film, helmed by Febi George, will drop on Manorama Max on March 20, 2026.

Written & Directed by God had released in theatres in June 2025, and now nearly nine months later, the Sunny Wayne film is set to mark its digital debut. Manorama Max has announced that Written & Directed by God will stream on the platform from this Friday.
As of now, no other Malayalam film is slated to be released on March 20. But the Malayalam series Kasaragod Embassy will drop on Zee5 Friday.
Written & Directed by God failed to impress the critics and audiences during its theatrical release and had a forgettable box office run. It remains to be seen whether the Saiju Kurup film would garner attention in the digital space.
What is Written & Directed by God about
As the title suggests, the Malayalam film revolves around a filmmaker and his encounter with God. Saiju Kurup stars as the struggling filmmaker Jijo, who is troubled by his nagging wife. But he has an unexpected encounter with the Almighty who in turn seeks Jijo’s assistance to help strangers. This changes Jijo’s perspective on life and his loved ones.
Sunny Wayne appears as the Almighty in the film. Written & Directed by God also features Aparna Das, Dinesh Prabhakar, Bibin George and Neena Kurup. The film, with fantasy and comedy elements, was written by Jomon John Linto Devasia and Roshan Mathew.
Notably, both Saiju Kurup and Sunny Wayne are part of the upcoming Malayalam film Aadu 3 , releasing on March 19. Apart from Aadu 3, Saiju Kurup has another film set for summer release. Bharathanatyam 2 - Mohiniyattam, the sequel to his 2024 film, is scheduled for release on April 10. Bharathanatyam became popular after its digital debut.
