2024 is a special year in the history of India. In April and May, General Elections will take place to elect Lok Sabha members. Ahead of these elections, both the ruling party and the Opposition are putting their best foot forward to claim victory in the elections. In view of this development, the makers of the film titled ‘Article 370’ decided to release the theatrical on February 23 across India. The trailer of the film – which was released recently, showed how a young field agent is picked from the Prime Minister's office for a top-secret mission to crack down on terrorism and corruption in Jammu and Kashmir. Yami Gautam plays a key role in the film.

With just eight days remaining before the release of the film, Opposition parties in India believe that the theatrical will promote the propaganda of the ruling party. Busting such myths, Yami Gautam has commented on the matter.

What did Yami Gautam say?

In an interview with the news agency PTI, Yami said, "If someone is calling it names... like 'propaganda', 'jingoism', and 'chest-thumping'... Any section that goes into theatres already thinking or carrying a preconceived notion that this is what it's about, you'll never be able to feel or enjoy the film. There is no point in justifying the film to them. I don't think the audience thinks about these things. This film is for most audiences, and we make films for them.

What is the film Article 370 likely to be about?
