Fans have eagerly anticipated Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi. The project garnered even more attention after RK released a video detailing his preparations for the film, scheduled for release in the second half of 2025. Now, as per the latest reports, Yash is joining forces with the other producers on the project.

Yash joins Ramayana as a producer

The KGF star turned down the role of Raavan for quite some time, according to an insider who spoke with Zoom about the matter. Finally, he consented, albeit in the role of producer only. He opted to join as a producer instead of accepting a fee of about Rs. 80 crore.

Ranbir, the sole producer on the film, has received official compensation for his role as Ram in Tiwari's Ramayana. According to sources, the makers had a rough first few days of filming the magnum opus because of photographs that leaked online showing the characters' costumes and makeup. Reportedly very upset by the web disclosures, the director has instituted a strict no-phones policy on set.

Ranbir Kapoor's intensive physical preparation

Personal trainer Nam has previously shared footage of Ranbir doing a variety of exercises. He worked out with a variety of equipment, including a gym ball, kettlebells, gym ropes, running, hiking, and riding a bike. 'Decompression in the countryside' was Nam's description. Ranbir's wife and actor, Alia Bhatt, joined him on the hike, while Raha, their daughter, played in the yard while her father worked out.

Ramayana, directed by Nitish Tiwari, will have Yash, Ranbir Kapoor, and Sai Pallavi in leading roles. According to rumours, Ranbir has abstained from meat and alcohol in order to portray the film's protagonist, Ram, as a pure soul.

It is part one of a three-part series, covering the story of Lord Ram and Sita up to the crucial event of Sita Haran.
