Just like his character Rocky bhai in KGF, actor Yash too is unfazed by the burden of expectations that come with leading the much-anticipated sequel, KGF: Chapter 2, which is set to hit theatres worldwide on April 14.

Talking about the film and managing the expectations of the audience, Yash, in a press meet held in Kochi, said, “People are curious to see the film and that’s more important. If they weren’t curious, we would have had to push them and that’s where I see the trouble. So, the expectations are okay, and there’s nothing I can do about that now.”

Yash remarked that the team has been working the past three years on the film keeping the expectations in mind and have a fair idea on how the audience would receive it when it hits theatres.

The actor also explained that the success of KGF hasn’t really impacted the story that they were trying to say in the first place. “My director (Prashanth Neel) has done a phenomenal job and the film is surely treated the way it’s supposed to be,” said the actor. “Nothing changed because of the chatter on its success. Also, if you want to tell the story in its original form, the pressure is always the same. The world has already been created and the viewers are in love with it. This time it was bigger in the script and the best part of the story went into KGF: Chapter 2.”

The movie, which will release in Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, also has Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj and Srinidhi Shetty as part of the cast. The movie’s pre-release figures are already off to a flying start, making it the second South film, after SS Rajamouli’s RRR, in a month to touch record-breaking figures.
