Rocking Star Yash, undoubtedly, has a massive fan following not just back home, but in the Hindi belt too – the success of his last release, KGF: Chapter 2 is testimony to that. Naturally, his next, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults is one of the most anticipated films of 2026 and after a failed attempt to stick to its original April 10, 2025 release date, the film booked March 19, 2026. Although there have been no confirmations from the team about the film’s progress and current status, sources indicate that this time, the film will arrive in theatres on said date.
Dhurandhar 2 to have an edge over Toxic?
Yash’s solo release plans went up in smoke this week, when it was revealed that the second part of Ranveer Singh’s spy drama Dhurandhar has also booked the same date. Dhurandhar has had a good opening at the box office and the reviews are also fairly positive, so there will be a sense of expectation among audiences.
In a sense, Ranveer’s film may just have a slight advantage over Toxic; it’s a sequel and audiences are anxious to know what happens next. With Toxic, there’s a lot of speculation about the world-class making and stellar star cast, but as much as a draw that Yash is, fans have had misgivings about director Geethu Mohandas, given her earlier track record.
