Yatra 2 - Choodu Nanna from the Mammooty, Jiiva starrer is emotional and rich in lyrical value

Yatra 2 is one of the most awaited films this year as it is the biopic of AP CM YS Jagan. The political drama is all set for a release on February 8, 2024, and also stars Tamil actor Jiiva as YS Jagan and Malayalam superstar, Mammootty in a key role. The promotions are in full swing and today, the makers released an emotional song titled Choodu Nanna.

The song depicts the famous Odarpu Yatra which YS Jagan took after his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy passed away in a chopper crash. Right from the visuals to the performance of Jiiva, who plays YS Jagan in Yatra 2, Coodu Nanna is a perfect ode to the troubles faced by the people of AP post the demise of YSR.

Bhaskara Batla's moving lyrics to Vijaynarain's deeply rooted voice, take this emotional number to another level. Towards the end of the song, Jiiva is seen expressing surprise when he finds YSR's portrait placed below the photos of Gods. This aspect of the song has been showcased superbly. The presence of Mammooty through various snaps in the song gives the number a lot of depth.

Mahi V Raghav has directed this film which is the sequel to the hit film Yatra. While Yatra showcased the comeback of YSR into power, Yatra 2 showcases YS Jagan's rise as a strong force in the state of AP. How he went through all odds, served a jail term, and came back to become the CM of AP is going to be showcased in this film.

Three Autumn Leaves jointly produce Yatra 2 along with Shiva Meka's V Celluloids. Madhie is cranking the camera while Santosh Narayanan contributes the music. A recently released glimpse of 'Yatra 2' has further heightened the anticipation about the film.

Also, ever since the teaser was revealed, many speculated about the roles of Pawan Kalyan, Sharmila, and Nara Lokesh in the film as they were present during the political picture when YS Jaganmohan Reddy was on the rise.
