Yenni Thuniga: Here's when the action flick, starring Jai and Athulya Ravi in lead roles, will hit the screens

Jai, who was last seen in the recent release Pattampoochi in the role of an antagonist for the first time, is ready with the release of his next venture. His forthcoming release is debutant SK Vettri Selvan's Yenni Thuniga. The makers have now announced that the movie will release in theatres on August 4.

They have also unveiled a new poster of the project which features Jai dressed in formal attire, hinting at his characterization in the film. He plays an IT employee in the movie whose life turns topsy-turvy after he meets a couple of people in an unexpected circumstance. 

Billed as an action thriller, the film stars Athulya Ravi, Vamsi Krishna and Vidya Pradeep among others in key roles. The team had released the movie's teaser and a lyric video last year. Suresh Subramanian has bankrolled the project under the banner of Rain Of Arrows Entertainment.

Sam CS has composed music for the film which has editing by VJ Sabu Joseph and cinematography handled by JB Dinesh Kumar. GN Murugan and Sherif have handled action and dance choreography respectively for Yenni Thuniga which has art direction helmed by K Arusamy. Producer Suresh himself has penned the story for the movie.

The movie was in the news last time when Jai completed dubbing for the film. Yenni Thuniga was shot in Chennai, Madurai and a few locations in the northeast, including Meghalaya.

Apart from Pattampoochi, Jai, who was seen in Veerapandiyapuram and Kuttram Kuttrame earlier this year, has half-a-dozen projects in his kitty, including Party, the long-delayed movie under Venkat Prabhu's direction. Sundar C's multi-starrer rom-com flick Coffee With Kaadhal is likely to be Jai's next release.
