Pei Mama is currently getting mixed responses from its viewers. However, fans are unanimously loving Yogi Babu’s hilarious and witty one-liners. Helmed by Sakthi Chidambaram, the horror-comedy flick also features Malavika Menon, Mottai Rajendran, veteran Tamil actor Rekha and MS Bhaskar among others in important roles. Bankrolled by Vignesh Ealappan under his banner of Bakiya Cinemas, the movie talks about a pickpocket (played by Yogi) who gets embroiled in a series of supernatural affairs. He manages to make these incidents look comic.

Pei Mama was also recently called out by netizens, who pointed out that their recently released poster was extremely similar to Vicky Kaushal’s horror movie, Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship. Although the makers didn’t make a remark regarding this entire ordeal, they were nevertheless supported by a certain half of Yogi Babu fans. The latter believed Pei Mama to be a spoof movie, which was also not confirmed by the makers.

Meanwhile, Yogi Babu was earlier seen in movies like Vijay Sethupathi’s horror-comedy caper, Annabelle Sethupathi. The movie was released on Disney+Hotstar a week ago. Yogi Babu has a number of exciting projects in his kitty, which include the Arya and Raashi Khanna starrer Aranmanai 3, Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor, Vijay's Beast, Vijay Sethupathi’s Ayalaan and the recently announced Contractor Nesamani, which also stars Oviyaa in the lead role.
