The next romantic drama Saiyaara is set to feature two fresh names in the Hindi cinema industry, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and is produced by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films (YRF). The film, which has Mohit Suri as its director and Akshaye Widhani as its producer, is set to release in theatres around the world on July 18, 2025.
Ananya Panday's cousin Ahaan and Aneet Padda, who appeared in the 2022 film Salaam Venky and the 2024 series Big Girls Don't Cry, are Chopra's bets, continuing the tradition started by Anushka Sharma (NH10), Ranveer Singh (Simmba), and Parineeti Chopra (Uunchai).
YRF will launch the teaser for the film's promotional campaign on May 30. A source close to the studio has said that they have a six-week marketing campaign planned to reach Gen-Z.
The source informed Mid Day that Chopra is so confident in Ahaan and Aneet's abilities that he wants to introduce them to the world as rising stars. The filmmaker has organised campus gatherings at universities in Chandigarh, Delhi, Pune, and Mumbai. According to the source, a unique web series will offer social media followers an inside look at the making of the show, including the personal stories of the lead actors and the chemistry they display on screen.
While Suri and YRF are both known for their work in popular romantic flicks, Saiyaara is their first joint venture. The film has garnered a lot of attention from genre enthusiasts due to its description as an emotional love story.
A significant portion of the film was shot in February of this year, and the majority of it was completed by 2024. As per Bollywood Hungama, featuring one thousand background artists, the scene took place in Vrundavan Studios in Malad, Mumbai, and evoked the atmosphere of a music festival. Reportedly, Ahaan Panday wowed the audience with a theatrical performance during filming.
According to reports, he captivated the audience with his theatrical act. According to the entertainment portal's source, the newcomer even leaps off the platform mid-performance to further captivate the crowd.
Fans of Hindi cinema, particularly those who have been following YRF's history of love stories, are keenly anticipating the release of the film Saiyaara due to its romantic tone and catchy title. With a digitally driven promotion building up to the release, the studio is now trying to promote Ahaan and Aneet as fresh faces from Gen Z.
