Yuva Rajkumar’s debut vehicle, Yuva, produced by Hombale Films and directed by Santhoh Ananddram is counting down to its date with audiences. The film will be in theatres on March 29 in the run-up to which the team has been releasing songs, but it’s the trailer that audiences are waiting for and we finally have a date. On March 21 at 1.01 pm the trailer of Yuva will drop on the official social media platforms of Hombale Films.

The trailer is expected to shed light on what the film is about, since Santhosh has let very little slip so far. According to an official synopsis online, the film is a campus tale set at an engineering college and follows the gang rivalries between students, with one standing up to protect his friends. Santhosh has said that the film is also an intense tale involving a father and son, with Achyuth Kumar playing Yuva’s father. Kantara fame Sapthami Gowda is the romantic interest, with fans going ga-ga over Yuva’s chemistry with the actress in the song Kavithe Kavithe.

Yuva is, reportedly, only the first of a three-film deal that the actor has with Hombale Films. The film is apparently based on a script that was meant for Puneeth Rajkumar and was then reworked for Yuva. Santhosh, who has made two films with the late Power Star, Raajakumara and Yuvarathnaa, was set to make a third when the actor passed away.

Yuva Rajkumar, who was born Guru Rajkumar, is the second son of Raghavendra Rajkumar and was earlier slated to be launched in a film called Yuva Ranadheera by Puneeth Rudranag. This film did not take off and then Hombale stepped in to launch the next generation actor from the Rajkumar family. The film was earlier meant to be an end of 2023 release, but then shooting delays and the fact that Salaar had to be pushed ahead meant that Yuva’s December 22 slot was taken up by Prabhas.
