From Manam to 1: Nenokkadine, eight Telugu movies which feature real life father-son duos

Anuraga Devatha - N. T. Rama Rao and Nandamuri Balakrishna

A remake of the 1980 Hindi film, Aasha, Anuraga Devatha stars NT Rama Rao, Sridevi and Jayasudha. Nandamuri Balakrishna also features alongside his father. 

Chuttalabbai - Sai Kumar and Aadi

This action comedy drama was not the biggest of hits, but has Aadi in the lead with dad Sai Kumar playing his father on screen as well. The 2006 movie also features Namitha Pramod and John Kokken in important roles.

Sri Ramadasu - Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Nagarjuna

This biographical movie is based on the life of the musician and saint, Kancharla Gopanna and has Nagarjuna in the titular role. His father Akkineni Nageswara Rao played his guru, Kabirdas in the movie.

Vamsee - Krishna and Mahesh Babu

B Gopal’s romantic drama from 2000 stars Mahesh Babu in the lead along with Namrata Shirodkar. The movie also features Mahesh’s father, Krishna as a goon who abducts Namrata’s character. 

1: Nenokkadine - Mahesh Babu and Gautham Ghattamaneni

Sukumar’s hit psychological action thriller saw Mahesh Babu play a schizophrenic Indian rock musician. The movie also features Mahesh’s son, Gautham Ghattamaneni, playing his younger version. 

Jhummandi Naadam - Mohan Babu and Manoj Manchu

This musical drama from K Raghavendra Rao stars Manoj Manchu and Taapsee Pannu in her debut outing. The movie also features Manoj’s father, Mohan Babu in a supporting role. 

Rowdy - Mohan Babu and Vishnu Manchu

This 2014 action drama saw Mohan Babu share screen with Vishnu Manchu, another one of his sons. Directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Mohan Babu plays Vishnu Manchu’s father in the movie as well.
