The film has been on the receiving end of praise for the stellar performances from its lead cast, especially that of Nimrat Kaur. The actress recently gave viewers a glimpse of the incredible physical transformation she underwent to essay her character in the film.

Kaur plays the role of Bimla Devi Chaudhary, the wife of Chief Minister Ganga Ram Chaudhary(Abhishek Bachchan). The former has to take over the political responsibilities of her husband, when he is sent to jail for a scam case.

The actress recently posted a photograph to her official Instagram handle, showing how she looked before and after gaining weight for her role in the film. Kaur also penned a few words on what followed after her weight gain.

Kaur recounts how she was asked to gain weight for the role and by the time she achieved the kind of physique needed, she weighed almost 15 kilos more than her normal weight.

But although she started to ‘relish’ the process of getting into character, she said she started to get ‘unsolicited advice’ from people regarding her weight gain.

Kaur ended her note talking about the importance of being sensitive and kind. She also stressed on the importance of not giving people unsolicited advice.
