Amazon Prime Video’s See Where It Takes You event
At its See Where It Takes You event held at Mumbai on Thursday, Amazon Prime Video announced 41 titles of films and TV shows that will make its way onto the platform over the course of the next 24 months. Here are some of the original films as well as the special collaborations announced by the streaming giant.

Ammu (Original Film)
This Telugu film follows the story of Ammu, who, in a desperate attempt to get her police officer husband suspended, takes some drastic measures. Aishwarya Lekshmi, Naveen Chandra and Bobby Simha star in the film, directed by Charukesh Sekar.

Aye Watan…Mere Watan (Original Film)
Directed by Kannan Iyer, Aye Watan…Mere Watan follows the story of a young girl who goes on to essay a unique place in the Indian freedom struggle.

Maja Maa (Original Film)
Madhuri Dixit Nene makes her next OTT outing in this Hindi film. Set in Baroda, the film follows the story of a mother who inadvertently becomes an obstacle in her son’s marriage. Gajraj Rao, Ritwik Bhowmik, Barkha Singh, Srishti Shrivastava, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajit Kapur and Simone Singh also feature in this Anand Tiwari directorial.

Tiku Weds Sheru (Special Collaboration)
Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur, the film tells the story of two survivors who share a zealous passion to live life to the fullest. Sai Kabir has directed the film.

Neeyat (Co-production)
Starring Vidya Balan, this murder mystery tells the story of a billionaire’s birthday getaway, that turns a murder ground. Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Mita Vasishth, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami, Amrita Puri, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli and Danish Rizvi also feature in this Anu Menon directorial.

Ram Setu (Co-production)
Akshay Kumar stars as an archaeologist who races against time to prove that the legendary Ram Setu does indeed exist, before evil forces spell doom to India’s most coveted heritages. Jacqueline Fernandes, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Satyadev Kancharana also star in this Abhishek Sharma directorial.

In addition to the original films and collaborations mentioned above, Amazon Prime Video has also entered into licensing associations with Ajay Devgn FFilms(Runway 34, Thank God, Drishyam 2, Bhola), Dharma Productions(Jug Jug Jeeyo, Govinda Naam Mera, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani), Excel Media and Entertainment(Phone Bhoot, Yudra, Fukrey 3, Jee Le Zara, Kho Gaye Hain Hum Kahan) and Yash Raj Films(Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Prithviraj, Shamshera, Tiger 3 and Pathaan).
