Not just in Brahmastra, Telugu star Nagarjuna has featured in several Bollywood films; take a look
The actor has worked in a number of Bollywood films and is yet to make his extended special appearance in the Ayan Mukherji-directed Brahmastra.
Nagarjuna and his presence in Bollywood
Indians all throughout the country are familiar with the Telugu actor Nagarjuna. The actor has performed in a number of South Indian movies and is yet to feature in the science fiction film Brahmastra by Ayan Mukherji. Nagarjuna made his debut in Bollywood with the Ram Gopal Verma-directed Shiva in 1990. He played the part of an angry young man who becomes a goon due to his circumstances. The actor is flawless on screen, and his chemistry with Amala is on point.
Khuda Gawah (1992)
The actor is featured in Khuda Gawah along with legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. It became a major success with Amitabh and Nagrajuna’s chemistry, and his pairing with a younger version of Sridevi also created much buzz and received love from the audience.
Though the film didn't become a major box office success, but Ram Gopal Verma once again utilised the charisma of Nagarjuna on screen. The fans appreciated his on-screen pairing with Urmila Matondkar, and the actor played the part of a serial killer in the film. The film was made bilingual and the Telugu version was a bigger commercial success.
Nagarjuna featured in another crime thriller, Mahesh Bhatt's directed, Criminal. The actor played the part of a doctor who gets accused of killing his wife. The film follows the subject and progresses through his journey of getting himself out of this rut.
The actor featured in another Mahesh Bhatt-directed film three years later, Zakhm. A semi-autobiographical film that shares glimpses of Mahesh Bhatt’s life is a story about inter-religious love. It featured Nagarjuna's romantic side, and the fans could not seem to get enough of it.
Nagarjuna appeared on the big screen alongside Akshay Kumar in Angaarey. Mahesh Bhatt was inspired by the American film, The State of Greece to make this film. This action-thriller also stars Gulshan Grover, Pooja Bhatt, and Sonali Bendre in the lead roles.
Agni Varsha (2002)
The Arjun Sanani-directed film is an adaptation of the book The Fire and The Rain by Girish Karnad. Nagarjuna is portrayed as a Mahabharata character in a mythological drama. The actor suited the part and transformed himself into the attire of the character.
LOC Kargil (2003)
Nagarjuna donned the uniform of a soldier for the JP Dutta-directed film, LOC Kargil. He played the part of Major Padmapani Acharya of the two Rajputana Rifles, who heroically gave up his life to uphold the honour of his country.
