Taking home Rs. 1.5 crores, Mithun Chakraborty became the highest-paid actor on the sets of Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files. He played the role of IAS Brahma Dutt in the film.
Anupam Kher, who stole the spotlight from every actor in The Kashmir Files, was paid Rs. 1 crore for the project. He played the role of Pushkar Pandit Nath and it is tagged among one of his best performances till date.
Producer-actor Pallavi Joshi was paid between Rs. 50-70 lakhs for the movie. In an interview with OTTplay, she had revealed that the most expense this movie incurred was in the form of its research – where they approached Kashmiri Pandits from all across the world after their exodus from Kashmir.
Darshan Kumar, who played one of the leading actors in the movie, took home Rs. 45 lakhs for The Kashmir Files. His character has also received a lot of love from the audiences.
