Ramany vs Ramany 3.0 Season 3 Episode 5 review: Impressive performances from lead cast stands out in the series' new episode

Story: Ramany, the husband, faces a series of unexpected health problems, and Ramany, the wife, gets worried. Upon knowing the news, the elderly people from their family visit the couple and offer them tips on leading a healthy life. 

Review: The fifth episode of Ramany vs Ramany 3.0 begins with Ramany (Ramji) feeling physically weak while working in the kitchen. A startled Ramany (Vasuki) asks him to take care of his health and tells him that he is getting older. The husband dismisses her remark and goes to collect the items he had ordered online from a delivery boy.

Ramany falls down while carrying the items back to the kitchen and his wife reminds him about his age again. The former feels restless and challenges that he is strong enough to lift his wife. The latter agrees and Ramany lifts her only to fall down again.

This time, their children, too, get intimidated. They rush toward their father to check if he's okay, but Ramany consoles them saying he's hale and hearty. But to his surprise, his father and mother-in-law come home to visit him after knowing about his ill-health.

Their extra care and suggestions on medicine make him lose his patience. After discussing with his wife, he comes up with an idea to stop the elders from pestering him with too much advice.

The episode has its heart at its right place. With a simple theme and beautiful performances from all the actors, it comes across as an engaging episode when compared to the last two episodes. As usual, Ramji and Vasuki impress with their chemistry, expressions and entertaining one-liners.

The manner in which the couple decides to make love after the husband gets upset about his wife calling him an aged person, and the sequence in which Ramany's father discovers that his son has had a mild heart attack were quite enjoyable. The final sequence in which the watchman indulges in a conversation with the elders is the icing on the cake.

The two children did not have much to do this time. The staging and dialogues were apt for the situations which depicted the cozy moments of the couple. The background score, however, is jarring and becomes repetitive after a point. Overall, this is another one time watch episode from the team.

Verdict: With a few engaging moments, the latest episode of the series is a decent watch.
