The Great Pre-Wedding Show follows Ramesh (Thiruveer), a small-time photographer who is hired by Anand, a politically connected man, to shoot his lavish pre-wedding video with his fiancée Soundarya (Yamini). The shoot goes perfectly, but the twist in the tale arises when Ramesh finds out that the memory card with all the footage is missing. The kind of chaos that follows and how Ramesh comes out of it is the basic story of the film.
The Great Pre-Wedding Show has been written and directed by Rahul Srinivas, who has chosen a very contemporary theme — a pre-wedding shoot — as the backdrop for his film. There is often chaos surrounding such shoots, but the twist here lies in setting this backdrop in a small town, within a politically charged family at the center of controversy.
The film revolves around Ramesh, a small-time photographer who loses the memory card containing a pre-wedding shoot. As he desperately tries to find it, things worsen when the wedding gets called off. This conflict forms the core of the film and is handled fairly well. The rustic setting, earthy characters, their innocence, and the situational comedy are among the biggest highlights. The humor, generated through everyday situations, works effectively.
For a change, the romantic track between Thiruveer and Teena Sravya also stands out, offering some genuinely sweet moments. The makers deserve credit for not stretching the film unnecessarily for commercial reasons. However, the predictable storyline holds it back — you can often guess what will happen next, leaving little room for surprises.

The second half falters a bit, with several cinematic liberties affecting the natural flow. A tighter approach and less forced drama would have elevated it further. The love track, though engaging, could have been trimmed in the later portions as it slightly slows down the narrative. The climax, too, feels rushed, and the conflict lacks the strength to sustain the final act.
Coming to performances, Thiruveer leads from the front with another solid act. He excels in portraying village-based characters and delivers a memorable performance with impressive comic timing. Director Rahul Srinivas has utilized his strengths effectively. Teena Sravya is good as the village belle, while Narendra Ravi steals the show with his hilarious and expressive performance. His character, central to the pre-wedding shoot chaos, evokes laughter and tension in equal measure.
The dialogue which is in Srikakulam accent is done well for the most part. The production values are impressive, supported by sharp editing and appealing cinematography. The visuals beautifully capture the village ambiance and rustic charm, making The Great Pre-Wedding Show a sincere and feel-good watch overall.
On the whole, The Great Pre-Wedding Show is small film with a big heart. Though it does not deliver anything out of the box, the situational comedy, earthy performances, and simple narrative makes the film a decent watch this weekend.
