Richa Ghosh, the Indian Women's wicket-keeper batter, who became the first-ever Bengali to win a senior Cricket World Cup, was felicitated by the Cricket Association of Bengal and the West Bengal State Government in a special ceremony at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.
C.A.B. rewarded Richa with a Golden Bat and 34 Lakhs INR
Cricket Association of Bengal rewarded the World Cup winner with a special Golden Bat, as already reported by OTTplay. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, former India captain and current C.A.B. President Sourav Ganguly and Women's Cricket legend Jhulan Goswami handed the bat to the Indian keeper-batter.

'Banga Bhushan' Richa Ghosh
West Bengal State Government awarded Richa with the 'Banga Bhushan,' the second-highest honour from the State Government. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, along with West Bengal Sports Minister Aroop Biswas, handed the honour to Richa.
Along with the honour, the West Bengal State Government also gifted Richa a special chain. Along with that, she was given a special honorary job as the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), West Bengal.
Special gift from Sourav Ganguly
For her achievement, former India captain and current Cricket Association of Bengal President Sourav Ganguly handed her a special gift - a special 'Crystal Horse'.
'I hope Richa will be the India captain one day'
During his speech for Richa, former India captain Sourav Ganguly congratulated every former Indian player present during the ceremony - including Gargi Banerjee and Shayma Shaw.
Post congratulating Richa on her remarkable achievement, Sourav went on to say, "She (Richa) is very young. She has time left in her career. I hope someday, just like Jhulan and me, she will be the India captain one day.
