All eyes will be on Indian shuttlers HS Prannoy, Kidambi Srikanth, Lakshya Sen, PV Sindhu, and others participating in the Badminton Asia Championships 2024, which began on Tuesday (April 9) in China's Ningbo. The competition will allow players to have a chance and increase their rankings and book their spot ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will miss this tournament after the former sustained a shoulder injury and informed the same through his social media.
All matches of the Badminton Asia Championships 2024 will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel of the Badminton Asia Championships. India matches will begin on April 10, 2024.
Men's Singles: Lakshya Sen, Kidambri Srikanth, HS Prannoy and Priyanshu Rajawat

Women's Doubles: Ashwini Ponnappa-Tanisha Castro, Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand
Prannoy will face China's Lu Guangzhou, while Kidambi Srikanth will lock horns with Anthony Ginting of Indonesia in the opening round. Young Indian Priyanshu Rajawat will be facing Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia - a challenging start for the youngster.
As for the women's singles, PV Sindhu will face Malaysia's Goh Jin Wei, while Lakshya Sen will take on Shi Yu Qi, the top-seeded player in the first round.
The men's doubles pair of MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila will kick off their campaign against the seventh-seeded Chinese duo, Liu Yu Chen and Ou Xuan Yi while Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa will face the Indonesian combo of Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi.
At the same time, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand will take on China's Liu Sheng Shu and Tan Ning.
