After finishing the intense Test series against England, India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant gave fans a glimpse of his lighter side. Recovering from a broken foot, Pant posted a fun video on Instagram where he was seen baking a pizza.

The southpaw was last seen playing in the fourth Test match against England, where he sustained a foot injury and was forced to retire hurt in the first innings on 37. He was then ruled out of the fifth and the final Test. However, even with a broken foot, Pant came back to bat in the first innings and scored a half-century.

He showed dedication and courage throughout the Test match, turning into an inspiration for many. His video went viral on social media as the fans loved the cheeky side of him.

"Ghar pe to kuch banaya nahi hai, yaha pizza bana raha hai (I haven't cooked anything at home, and here I am cooking a pizza)," said Pant in the video.

Throughout the series, Pant was one of India’s most consistent performers. Playing as vice-captain alongside skipper Shubman Gill, he scored a total of 479 runs in seven innings. His average of 68.42 included two centuries and three half-centuries, made him one of the top scorers in the series.

Unfortunately, the injury ruled him out of the fifth and final Test. Wicketkeeper Narayan Jagadeesan was brought in as his replacement. Even though he could not play the last match, Pant’s earlier contributions were crucial to India’s success. His efforts helped India secure a close six-run win at The Oval, ending the series in a 2–2 draw.

The pizza-making video has become a hit among fans, showing that even while injured, Pant keeps his spirits high. It’s another reminder of his fun-loving personality off the field and his fighting spirit on it. Supporters will now be hoping he recovers quickly and returns to action soon, ready to play more match-winning knocks for India.
