Virat Kohli missed a well-deserving century in the first ODI match against New Zealand in Vadodara. The crowd was stunned and silent for a moment and then got up to give a standing ovation to one of the best cricketers in the world. Kohli broke Kumar Sangakkara's record to become the second highest run-scorer in all the formats. He was just 42 runs away from the milestone before playing the game.

After playing amatch-winning knock, Kohli was asked during the presentation regarding his POTM trophies as he has won 45 of them so far. Kohli mentioned that he sends it to his mother, who loves collecting the POTM awards. The star batter spoke about how his focus remains on India winning the matches and not on milestones.

"Honestly I have no idea. I send it to my mum in Gurgaon, she likes to keep them. If I look back at my whole journey then it is nothing short of a dream come true for me. I have always known my abilities, I have worked a lot for where I am today, God has blessed me with way too much and I have lot of gratitude in my heart, I feel proud. If I am being brutally honest then I am not thinking about the milestones, I would have gone hard if we were batting first, the experience does matter," said Virat Kohli.

I don't feel good about it: Virat Kohli

India's star batter Virat Kohli opened about his thoughts as the crowd cheers for him when he enters the stadium while the dismissed batter is leaving the field. The feeling is not a great one for the dimissed batter and Kohli acknowledged the fact. He also spoke about how the same happens to MS Dhoni and how they deal with it.

"I don't feel good about it, it happens with MS as well, it is not a good feeling for the guy going out, it has been fine so far. I feel grateful for being put into this position, you can give happiness to so many people by playing this sport, putting smiles on people's face makes me smile," he added.
