The red-hot Indian team is expected to be the firm favourite to secure a spot in the summit clash of the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup 2024 as they face hosts South Africa in the first semi-final on Tuesday. While the defending champions India have progressed into the semis with five consecutive wins in the tournament, the Proteas have won four out of their five games, setting the stage for an exciting match.

About India and South Africa's campaign at the ICC U19 World Cup:

During the Super Six stage, India extended their winning streak by securing victories in both matches. In the first match against New Zealand in Group 1, they emerged victorious by a margin of 214 runs. They maintained their winning momentum in the second game against Nepal, clinching a win by 132 runs.

As for the Proteas, during the Super Six stage in Group 2, they continued their winning momentum by comfortably defeating Zimbabwe by 9 wickets. They followed this up with a commanding 119-run win against Sri Lanka.

The other two teams to make it to the semi-final clash are Australia and Pakistan, and the match will be held on February 8 at the same venue - Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
