As for the Proteas, during the Super Six stage in Group 2, they continued their winning momentum by comfortably defeating Zimbabwe by 9 wickets. They followed this up with a commanding 119-run win against Sri Lanka.
The other two teams to make it to the semi-final clash are Australia and Pakistan, and the match will be held on February 8 at the same venue - Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
