Team India has surged ahead to establish a 100-run lead on Day 2 of the 1st Test against England at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Ravindra Jadeja's impactful half-century has played a significant role in propelling the home side into a commanding position, especially with the visiting team exhausting all their reviews and struggling to take wickets. The lingering question continues to remain, India is currently in the driver's seat with this lead?

Commencing with Yashasvi Jaiswal's impressive start, showcasing how to master Bazball in India, to the commendable partnership between KL Rahul (86) and Shreyas Iyer (35), and with Jadeja also getting his half-century and Srikar Bharat scoring 41, the Men in Blue are poised to extend their batting display throughout the day and potentially into tomorrow.

At the time of writing this article, India reached a score of 357 in 89 overs, losing six wickets in the process. Despite conceding runs, Tom Hartley managed to secure two wickets along with Joe Root also having two to his name. Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmed each have one to their name.

Reflecting on Day 1, before India's batting, England, having won the toss, opted to bat and posted 246 runs before being all out.

England skipper Ben Stokes, reaching his half-century, presented a challenge to the Men in Blue, but his innings was halted at 70 by Jasprit Bumrah.
