Day 3 came to an end, and India was all out for 255, taking a 398-run lead in the 2nd Test against England at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Coming into bat, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett got off to a good start before R Ashwin was introduced, and he got the breakthrough.

Ashwin had gone wicketless in the first innings but managed to take one in his first over of the second innings. A bit of extra bounce as Ashwin angled one across the batsman. The ball caught a bit of the bat then went onto the pads and lobbed up. Wicketkeeper KS Bharat dived forward from his position to take an attentive catch. England lost their first wicket as Duckett walked back for 28(27) [4s-6].

The day came to a close with nightwatchman Rehan Ahmed coming to the crease and scoring 9 runs, while Crawley posted 29 runs. England scored 67 runs in 14 overs. The visitors need 332 runs to win the second game, while the Men in Blue need 9 wickets to square the series.

Before this, India scored 255 runs, with Shubman Gill contributing 109 runs, Axar Patel posting 45, and both Shreyas Iyer and R Ashwin scoring 29 runs each. Rajat Patidar's stay was short-lived as he departed for 9 runs, while Yashasvi Jaiswal couldn't replicate his first-innings double ton, falling for 17 runs. Additionally, Rohit Sharma was clean-bowled for 13, victims of James Anderson's bowling prowess.

The 41-year-old pacer shows no signs of slowing down and seems to have learned from Jasprit Bumrah's success, who claimed a six-wicket haul on Day 2, dismissing England for 253 runs.

In the previous innings, the Men in Blue posted a total of 396 runs all-out, with Jaiswal achieving his maiden double-century, scoring 209 runs, while Gill contributed as the second-highest scorer with 34 runs. During their chase, the visitors had a promising start, with Zak Crawley scoring 76 runs and Ben Duckett adding 21. However, their partnership was disrupted by Kuldeep Yadav.
