Match 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 saw Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) win the toss and choose to bowl against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), a decision that has certainly worked in their favour. LSG's bowlers have successfully dismantled the CSK top order, leading fans to believe that the side in yellow is experiencing a batting collapse. Their highest partnership until the 12th over was 35 runs. However, the CSK fans are unbothered as they are waiting to see MS Dhoni come to the crease and bat.

By the 13th over, CSK had posted 93 runs but suffered the loss of Ajinkya Rahane (36 off 24), Rachin Ravindra (0 off 1), Ruturaj Gaikwad (17 off 13), Shivam Dube (3 off 8), and impact substitute Sameer Rizvi (1 off 5) at regular intervals. LSG surely were the happier side having removed CSK's top three that too quite soon. Ravindra Jadeja was promoted up the order and many fans are confused with the change in the batting line-up. However, many are also trolling the side, and have speculated that the team may want to provide everyone with a chance to bat.

Krunal Pandya has taken two wickets, while Mohsin Khan, Yash Thakur, and Marcus Stoinis each have one to their name at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

As of writing this article, after 17 overs, CSK scored 123 runs with Ravindra Jadeja having smashed his half-century. He is at the crease, accompanied by Moeen Ali (10).
