Match 15 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 witnessed Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) star Nicholas Pooran dominating against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), particularly targeting Reece Topley, as he launched three massive sixes in a single over at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

In the 18.2 over, Pooran smashed a six off a full toss, sending it sailing over the point boundary rope. The delivery was just below waist height, allowing Pooran to easily get underneath it. With an open bat face, he expertly sliced it just beyond the boundary.

Then, in the 18.3 over, he again struck another maximum off yet another high full toss. Pooran capitalized on the opportunity, directing the ball into the point stand. This impressive shot marked Pooran's 100th IPL six in just 62 innings.

Continuing his onslaught, Pooran showcased his excitement in the 18.4 over as he hammered the ball high into the air, landing it on the roof. This remarkable feat marked a hat-trick of sixes, as he waited on the back foot for the slower ball before launching it towards deep mid-wicket. The ball soared onto the roof and out of the ground, covering a distance of 106 meters. Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to speak about the triple sixes.

As for the match, the bowling appeared promising until Pooran's explosive performance turned the tide. LSG posted a formidable total of 182 runs in their allotted 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Quinton de Kock provided a strong start with a quick-fire 81 off 56 balls.

Although LSG experienced a slight loss of momentum after the Powerplay, de Kock and Marcus Stoinis swiftly regained control with a 50+ partnership. However, Glenn Maxwell's breakthrough temporarily halted their progress, yet Pooran's onslaught, including five sixes in the final two overs, propelled LSG beyond the 180 mark.
