Shortly after the conclusion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, there won't be much time before the national teams depart for the West Indies and the USA for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. The Indian team is expected to finalize its squad around May 1, and fans already have certain players in mind whom they want to see representing India, keeping their IPL performance in mind.

Among them is Chennai Super Kings (CSK) powerhouse Shivam Dube. The all-rounder, though not given many opportunities to bowl, has showcased his lethal batting prowess, proving effective anywhere from the No. 4 spot downward. Currently, in the clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), he has been smashing bowlers for maximums, prompting fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) to advocate for his inclusion in the Men in Blue squad.

As for the match, following the dismissals of Ajinkya Rahane (1 off 3), Daryl Mitchell (11 off 10), and Ravindra Jadeja (16 off 19), skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad has led from the front, scoring a century, while Shivam Dube has played a fine innings of his own, hitting a hat-trick of sixes in the 16th over.

In Match 39 of the IPL, Lucknow Super Giants opted to bowl and retained the same team that recently defeated the Men in Yellow at the Ekana Sports Stadium. CSK, on the other hand, made one change, with Daryl replacing Rachin Ravindra.
