The 94th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took place on September 28, 2025, in Mumbai, marking a significant day with numerous important elections and committee announcements, including the induction of former India bowlers R.P. Singh and Pragyan Ojha to the men’s selection committee.

In the leadership elections, Mithun Manhas was elected as the new President of the BCCI. He will be supported by Rajeev Shukla as Vice President, Devajit Saikia as Secretary, Prabhtej Bhatia as Joint Secretary, and A. Raghuram Bhat as Treasurer.
The AGM also saw the election of Jaydev Shah, former first-class cricketer and President of Saurashtra Cricket Association, as one representative of the General Body to the BCCI Apex Council.
Additionally, two members, Arun Singh Dhumal and M Khairul Jamal Majumdar, were elected as representatives to the Indian Premier League Governing Council, ensuring strong governance for the country’s flagship T20 tournament.

One of the most notable outcomes from the meeting was the announcement of the new Men’s Selection Committee.
Ajit Agarkar’s term as the Chairperson continued, with existing members Shiv Sundar Das and Ajay Ratra returning to the committee.
The committee now welcomed two distinguished new members, R.P. Singh and Pragyan Ojha, both former international cricketers with vast experience.
R.P Singh, the former left-arm pacer, was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning squad, while Pragyan Ojha, the left-arm spinner, took 113 wickets in just 24 tests for India.
