Since MS Dhoni had announced his retirement from international cricket, many believed he would bring down the curtains on his Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign as well. However, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper has been going strong and leading the side strong in the 2023 edition.
While there are numerous videos of Dhoni's brilliance on and off the ground circulating on social media, one clip that got netizens hooked doesn't even have the CSK skipper in it.
In fact, what grabbed the attention of fans was the MS Dhoni look-alike - who is an old man sitting in the stands watching the game between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
The Instagram user, who shared the video, captioned the video: "Brooooo Dhoni from 2040 is watching this match."
Not just that, some even called out the little girl sitting in front of the look-alike and said, "That's Deepika Padukone from 2010".
MS Dhoni called time on his international career on August 15, 2020, and fans believe the ongoing IPL season to be hi's last.
However, his former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina has revealed on JioCinema, that the 'Thala' told him, "Main trophy jeetke ek saal aur khelunga (After winning the trophy, I will play for one more year)."
