The Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently in progress and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is anticipated to release the schedule for the ODI World Cup shortly after receiving formal clearance from all parties.
The opening game will most likely be between T20I champions England and New Zealand on October 5 in Ahmedabad. The final will also be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, on November 19.
Talking about Pakistan, after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had said they would not travel to India if the BCCI does not send the team to their country for the Asia Cup, it has been learnt that the Men in Green have agreed to tour their neighbouring nation.
PCB chairman Najam Sethi has, however, put forth some issues about his side playing at Ahmedabad and they have listed some stadiums they won't have an issue with.
Pakistan will play their games in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru, according to the preliminary schedule created thus far. The majority of Pakistan games have taken place at grounds provided by the BCCI in the South Zone, with Chennai receiving a few additional games due to its reputation as a peaceful host with a supportive crowd.
Other venues:
Apart from the ones listed, Kolkata, Delhi, Indore, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Rajkot, Raipur and Mumbai are the designated venues with Mohali and Nagpur missing out. The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is likely to host the semifinal.
