After a not-so-great start to the Delhi Premier League 2025, Punjab Kings' star opener Priyansh Arya returned to form in spectacular fashion on August 8, blasting a breathtaking 111 runs off just 56 balls against East Delhi Riders. His fierce innings featured seven fours and nine huge sixes, marking his third century in DPL history and cementing his status as the only player with multiple hundreds in the tournament.

Priyansh Arya, who had earlier stunned fans as the star of DPL 2024 with 608 runs at an impressive average of 67.56 and a near 200 strike rate, carried his momentum into the 2025 IPL season, accumulating 475 runs in 17 matches with a strike rate of 179.3, including a fiery 103 against Chennai Super Kings.
Post IPL, the expectations were high from him in DPL 2025. But the tournament started quietly for the 24-year-old; he managed modest scores in his first three outings.
However, Arya's powerful return was emphasised by an assault on East Delhi Riders' bowlers, especially targeting Rohit Yadav and Raunak Waghela for a devastating 64 runs off just 28 balls, helping Outer Delhi Warriors post a formidable total of 231/7 in their 20 overs. Despite his heroics, his team narrowly lost by 19 runs.
