Rohit Sharma’s name is often associated with explosive batting, record-breaking double centuries, and match-winning innings in One Day Internationals (ODIs). While many cricket fans celebrate his massive individual scores and elegant stroke play, one of his most remarkable achievements remains surprisingly underrated: the record for the most consecutive ODI series with at least one century.

Between 2017 and 2019, Rohit Sharma scored at least one century in 10 consecutive ODI series, a record by an impressive margin. This means that for nearly three years, no matter which country India played or where the matches were held, Rohit consistently delivered centuries to anchor the innings.

To put this into perspective, let’s compare Robert Sharma’s record to other ODI greats. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli, known for his relentless consistency and hunger for runs, managed to score centuries in six consecutive ODI series during 2011-2012. This itself was a monumental achievement, but pales in comparison to Rohit’s 10-series run.

Legendary batsmen like Gary Kirsten, Sachin Tendulkar, and Hashim Amla each had consecutive centuries in five separate series.

Kirsten did it in 1996, Tendulkar between 2000 and 2001, and Amla during 2010-2011. These players represent some of the finest talents the sport has ever seen, yet none matched Rohit Sharma's remarkable consistency in such an extended period.

From 2017 to 2019, in One-Day cricket, Rohit Sharma played 68 matches. While batting in 67 innings, Hitman scored 3817 runs at an average of 65.74, with a strike-rate of 95.65.

Not only that, he went on to score 18 centuries in the 50-over period, during period. India played 18 ODI tournaments or series during that time period, and Rohit went on to score a century in 15 of them. He scored a ton in 10 consecutive series/tournaments, which is still a record.
