The Indian cricket team won the third ODI match against South Africa and won the series, 2-1. After losing the second game, the pressure was too much on the players and the head coach. But, amidst those pressure moments, there are many on-field incidents that happen and leave a mark in the hearts and minds of the viewers.
When Kuldeep Yadav is in the team, he is always eager to go for the DRS even when the captain tries to stop him. In the last game, there were many moments where he tried to convince KL Rahul to take the DRS, but Rohit Sharma was refusing from the slip region.
The fun banter went viral on social media. Later, after the game got over, Kuldeep, Rishabh Pant, and Harshit Rana were having fun discussing the DRS episode. “I’ll tell clearly that I am very bad at the DRS call. I think one DRS is for me in every match,” said Kuldeep Yadav after the game.
Keeping the fun banter aside, Kuldeep bowled well in the final match. He claimed four wickets in ten overs, at an economy rate of 4.10. Apart from that, Prasidh Krishna also claimed four wickets, but he was expensive. He conceded 66 runs in 9.5 overs. Overall, it was a good bowling performance from the Indian team that helped them win the game comfortably.
Kuldeep Yadav has fun bantering with Rohit Sharma every time he plays with him. During the post-match presentation, he opened up about the DRS debacles and how Rohit and KL Rahul help him during the matches when he insists on taking DRS during the matches.
“In DRS, I am very bad - Rohit bhai keeps pulling me - KL bhai is very good behind stumps and you need those people behind the stumps to guide you,” said Kuldeep at the post-match presentation.
