The crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and fans at home cheered as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) finally managed to bring home a trophy as the Women's team defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) to win the 2nd edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024. 

Amidst all the celebrations, what caught the attention of fans was seeing Virat Kohli on a video call, conversing with Smriti Mandhana and her team after the game ended. Soon, fans shared pictures of the RCB veteran interacting with the girls who had lifted the franchise's first-ever trophy.

Other RCB Men legends and players like Chris Gayle, Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik also took to social media to praise the girls for their achievements.

In the aftermath of the clash, all the RCB girls rushed onto the field after Richa Ghosh hit the winning four runs, securing an 8-wicket victory. Shreyanka Patil, who emerged as a hero in both the Eliminator and the final, was seen jumping on top of Renuka Thakur. Ellyse Perry, who had a sensational tournament, was present to witness the game conclude in their favour. 

Meanwhile, Mandhana approached the Delhi camp, offering consoling hugs to a couple of players. DC skipper Meg Lanning appeared visibly emotional, seen wiping away her tears after the game concluded.
