The Hindi version comes 13 years after the original was wound up. The show, with its captivating narrative and characters, is expected to tug at audience’s heartstrings, just like the remarkable impression it etched in the hearts of millions across the world.The Turkish soap opera Binbir Gece revolved around four main characters: Sehrazat, Onur, Kerem, Bennu and ran for three seasons from 2006 to 2009. The story is loosely based on that of One Thousand and One Nights, better known as Arabian Nights. The Turkish original starred Halit Ergenç as Onur, Bergüzar Korel as Şehrazat, Tardu Flordun as Kerem and Ceyda Düvenci as Bennu. Binbir Gece won Best Drama at the 34th Golden Butterfly Awards, with Halit Ergenc and Bergüzar Korel getting Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively.The official synopsis of Binbir Gece reads, Sehrazat, a young widow who is financially unable to treat her terminally ill young son, is forced to ask her charming boss for help. The proposal by her boss changes her life forever.Sony Entertainment Television is yet to announce the star cast for the Hindi version or by when the show will be telecast.
