As we step into 2024, the official awards season has finally kicked off, and we are here to honor the brilliant performers of the last year. Starting this season is the Golden Globes 2024, taking place in the West as we speak. For India, the day started super early as the award night began streaming on Lionsgate Play early in the morning. 2023 was filled with great films, brilliant performances, and artistic highs. The nominations are varied, and the list is extensive.
But as anyone who observed Hollywood movies even for a week last year might have guessed, it is the year of Barbenheimer, as Barbie and Oppenheimer are two movies that have dominated the entire award night. At the Golden Globes, the two are back at locking horns in various categories and have already picked up multiple trophies. While Cillian Murphy has already received the award for Best Actor, Robert Downey Jr. bagged Best Supporting Actor, and Barbie has won Original Song, the Best Cinematic Box Office Achievement, and more.
