Julius Nagendra Wilfred Singh, played by the veteran actor Ashok Kumar. In the film, he plays a young man who hopes to win over his girlfriend’s (Bindiya Goswami’s) father (the inimitable Utpal Dutt). The only problem – his girlfriend’s father is looking for a sanskaari dhoti-kurta clad, moustache sporting groom for his daughter. As it turns out, the elderly gent abhors modern, moustache-less men. What ensues is a laugh riot and a comedy of errors that will make you laugh so much you might even break into tears. The film also features comedy geniuses such as Deven Verma, Shubha Khote, and Keshto Mukherjee in supporting roles.
