Written and directed by Avinash Arun, Three of Us is a Hindi film, starring Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Swanand Kirkire. The movie had a theatrical release on November 3, 2023. Upon its release, the film was well appreciated by the audience as well as critics. More than a month after Three of Us's theatrical run, the movie is now set for its OTT release. Three of Us boasts an ensemble talented star cast that includes Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Swanand Kirkire. While Shefali plays the role of Shailaja Desai, Jaideep essays the role of Pradip Kamat, and Swanand is seen as Dipankar Desai.

Shefali and Jaideep have some great movies and web shows to their credit. On the other hand, Swanand Kirkire is a well-known lyricist, who also acted in some movies and web shows. Avinash Arun's Three of Us revolves around the life of Shailaja Desai, struggling with dementia, who takes a trip to Konkan along with her husband Dipankar. On her trip, Shailaja confronts her past and thus begins her journey of hope and liberation. This storyline struck the right chord with the audience upon its the film's theatrical release. At a time when OTT space is filled with hard-hitting thrillers, a slice-of-life film like Three of Us could make for an easy-breezy watch this weekend.

Director and his proven work

While Avinash Arun has helmed Three of Us, he has also been a cinematographer for a very long time. He got into the world of filmmaking with a Marathi film, titled Killa. He also co-directed the famous web show Paatal Lok. The ones who have followed his previous work as a cinematographer would know how fine Avinash is with his craft. Given his credible craft in the past, one can expect Three of Us to be a good watch in the streaming space.
