The director made it clear that the Identity star had been a close friend for a long time and that it was his duty to cast him in a role that would allow him to truly shine. "Throughout his career, Tovino has portrayed a variety of characters with a range of emotional profiles. Additionally, they have made a lasting impression on the audience. When it came to casting him, the focus was, "What else can I make him do as an actor?" Anuraj stated.
He continued by saying that portraying Varghese in Narivetta is a challenging task since the audience must be persuaded by the character's transformation from a self-centred individual who lacks emotional control to someone who speaks up or fights for others' causes. "Tovino delivered an impressive act as Varghese," he stated.
Additionally, Anuraj revealed his memorable scene from the police thriller. "I was deeply affected by Varghese's confession to the judge at the end of the movie. It leaves a lasting impression on you when it's your dream project and script, and for me, that was Narivetta," he remarked. When he said "cut" during the scene's filming, the director added, his voice trembled emotionally. "All the performances linger in your mind and the way Tovino portrayed Varghese deserves praise," he stated. He also commended the dedication of the film's other actors, including Cheran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Arya Salim and Pranav Teophine, who helped it become a box office hit.
