In an interview with OTTplay, the young actor, who played Thaami in Narivetta, spoke about his experience working with Lokesh Kanagaraj in his directorials, Master and Vikram.

Malayalam actor Pranav Teophine is now under the limelight for his performance in Tovino Thomas' latest film, Narivetta which is streaming on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium. In an interview with OTTplay, the young artiste spoke about his experience in working with Lokesh Kanagaraj in his directorials, Master and Vikram.

Working in Tamil films, Master and Vikram

Pranav disclosed that Vineeth Sreenivasan's Malarvadi Arts Club was where he made his acting debut as a junior artist. "Only I am aware of the frame in which I appear in this movie. For the first time, my face appeared correctly on screen in Lokesh's Master," he remarked. The actor also mentioned that he had been in more than 30 short films, and that Lokesh's associate Santhosh was one of the friends he had collaborated with on one of them. "This was how I was given a chance in Master and later Lokesh himself suggested my name for a small part in Vikram" he said. He continued by saying that no one was aware that he was Malayali until Super Zindagi's theatre visits and interviews in connection with Narivetta.

"I studied in Tamil Nadu and Cheran Sir had been a chief guest in an event held in my college. I had also received a prize from him at the same event," the young star added, adding that he is a huge fan of Cheran, Tovino, and Suraj Venjaramoodu and that having screen time with them was a dream come true.

Being Thaami in the intriguing police thriller

He also talked about how the part in this thriller provided him with the vital recognition for his cinematic career. Pranav spent three weeks travelling with an Adivasi community before to filming, emphasising that it is challenging to get an opportunity to play a character that is based on an actual individual. "My relationship with the dog on film was praised by many. I used to feed him three times a day throughout the three weeks he was with me. With him, I established trust. He remarked, "Even the child actors who starred in the film spent a lot of time with me, playing in our caravan and walking around the filming locations."
