Nidhhi Agerwal Interview about Hari Hara Veera Mallu

How did you bag this role?

It all started when Krish Garu approached me for this role. I had just started out and was looking for that one good film that would take me to the top league, and Hari Hara Veera Mallu was that film. Krish wanted me to play the role of Panchami. He screen-tested me, and I was roped in.

Tell us more about working with the likes of Pawan Kalyan.

To act in a Pawan Kalyan film itself is a dream come true for any actress. Here I am, at a very young age, getting to star in Hari Hara Veera Mallu. I have a lot of combination scenes with Pawan Kalyan and thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience. He is very soft-spoken, doesn’t talk much, but our chemistry has come out quite well in the film.

Tell us more about your role in Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

I play the role of Panchami, which has several shades. Getting such an author-backed role is not easy these days, but Krish had so much belief in me that he entrusted me with such a big role. Be it the looks, body language, or dialogue delivery, it was very tough to portray, as my character takes different routes in the film. I had to showcase everything I had in me as an actor. When you see the songs, you’ll notice that I’m presented in different looks. I hope I’ve given my best and that everyone will like my performance.

How did you prepare for your role in Hari Hara Veera Mallu?

As it’s a once-in-a-lifetime character, I worked hard on my look, getting into shape, wearing royal costumes, learning to dance, and even fight, I had to do it all. I have two fight sequences in the film and worked very hard on them. Every day, it took me two hours to get ready in costume. From the jewelry and outfits to the way I spoke, everything looks quite real in the film. Audiences will see me in a completely new avatar.

Any regrets about the delay?

Initially, I was very disappointed when the film kept getting postponed. But it was out of my hands, and I believe everything happens for a reason. I lost out on a lot of work, but doing one film with someone like Pawan Kalyan is equivalent to doing a hundred films in Telugu. I have no regrets, as the film is getting a wide release, and I have a very important role.

Working with two directors on a single film?

Krish Garu is the brainchild behind the film, it’s his concept, vision, and story. He directed most of the film, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he had to leave the project. I have no complaints though, as director Jyothi Krishna superbly wrapped up the film and gave it a completely new look. He understood every character and gave the film his own spin. If the film becomes a big hit, a chunk of the credit should also go to Jyothi Krishna.

What is Hari Hara Veera Mallu all about?

Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a fictional story of a freedom fighter set in the bygone era during the Mughals’ rule. Apart from Pawan Kalyan’s character, the rest of the story is grounded in reality. The action, visuals, VFX, and performances will feel real. Pawan Kalyan's fans will love him and will see him in a completely different style in Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

Tell us more about the music of the film.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu has music by Oscar winner MM Keeravani Sir. He’s composed some great songs, and I’m part of two visual spectacles that will look stunning on screen. Keeravani Sir’s background score is one of the film’s highlights and has elevated the action sequences to another level. Whether it’s the fights, VFX, or performances, Hari Hara Veera Mallu will give you the feel of an international film.

About your upcoming film, The Raja Saab.

The Raja Saab is another big film in my career that I’m eagerly looking forward to. Working with someone like Prabhas is nothing short of an achievement for an actress like me. This horror-comedy, directed by Maruthi, will showcase me in a fun avatar for the first time. The film has something for all sections of the audience and will present Prabhas in a charming new look. This is one film I’m really excited about, and I hope it takes my career to the next level.
