The veteran actor won Best Supporting Actor Male for his exceptional performance in the 2023 Tamil film Parking. Actor MS Bhaskar, who is a household name in Tamil cinema, clinched his first National Film Award for the 2023 Tamil film Parking . The thriller drama features MS Bhaskar along with actor Harish Kalyan and revolves around two men from different generations and their egoistic rivalry over a parking lot.

MS Bhaskar, who is known for his unique performances, had played Ilamparuthi, an aged man who never gives up on his ego and fights against a young man. OTTplay spoke with MS Bhaskar few minutes after the actor was announced with the word. He said, “What more to tell, I am very happy. Our win is definitely credited to the whole team, and director Ramkumar Balakrishnan who had penned and directed a wonderful film like Parking. My heart is full of joy. But at the same time, we never crafted Parking with the intention of National Award, but we are content that our efforts got recognised.”
