With the government of India announcing the 71st National Film Awards on Friday, it is a big day for a certain 2023 Tamil film Parking. Directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan in his directorial debut, the film fetched three awards, including Best Tamil Film, Best Screenplay Writer for the director who shared it along with another Telugu filmmaker, and Best Supporting Actor (Male) for MS Bhaskar. Notably, this is the first National Film Award for MS Bhaskar.

Ramkumar Balakrishnan, who also wrote the film featured actors Harish Kalyan and MS Bhaskar as the leads in Parking. The thriller drama is an intense ego clash between two men of different generations over a parking lot.
