British actor Helna Bonham Carter will return to the second season of Netflix film Enola Holmes.

Variety has learned that Carter will reprise her role as Enola's mother Eudoria Holmes in the film, an adaptation of Nancy Springer’s books, The Enola Holmes Mysteries.

Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) will once again be seen as the titular character, the sister to ace detective Sherlock Holmes, played by Henry Cavill (The Witcher). Enola, who had an unconventional childhood thanks to Eudoria, is insightful, strong-willed and has exceptional sleuthing skills that she uses to sometimes outsmart her brother.

David Thewlis, Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Hannah Dodd, Abbie Hern, Gabriel Tierney and Serrana Su-Ling Bliss are also part of the cast.

Variety mentions that at the recent TUDUM event, Netflix had said that Louis Partridge will be seen as Tewksbury in the upcoming sequel.

The sequel will be directed by Harry Bradbeer (Ramy, Fleabag, Killing Eve), and written by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), who were previously attached to Season 1.

The film, a co-production between Legendary Pictures and Netflix, will go on the floors in London this year.

Carter was most recently seen in Seasons 3 and 4 of Netflix series, The Crown as Princess Margaret.
