Sahadevan, who is a temporary employee in a government office, is excited for his marriage and have high hopes for their life together. But his wife, Nayana, lacks any concern for him or their relationship; thus his dreams are met with dismay. After Nayana fabricates allegations of domestic violence and harassment under the guise of dowry, he immediately encounters legal challenges and ends up in a family court upending his life. Sahadevan's battle against injustice and his legal analysis of the truth forms the crux of the movie.
The main focus of this story is Sahadevan's legal battle against his wife's unfounded accusations. In the meantime, it is also clear why Nayana took such dramatic measures and who supported her during this series of incidents. Sahadevan undoubtedly receives the justice he is due by the end of the movie, and he is given the opportunity to voice the harm that all of these legal complications have caused him. He also makes a lengthy comment on how many people abuse the laws intended to protect women.
As Sahadevan and his advocate, Anila, have some friendly moments in the second part of the film, viewers might also wonder if there might be a romantic element to their interaction. It's also uncertain if the unexpected turn of events in his life has altered his views on marriage and love.
