There’s a reason why Aadi Saikumar has consistently bagged projects in all stages of his career. Most of his films do considerably well on OTT, television and other dubbed versions digitally and most producers recover the budget comfortably before the theatrical release. It precisely explains why he has been able to take up projects at such a quick pace in the recent months.

Starting from Atithi Devo Bhava last January (2022) to his upcoming film CSI Sanatan (release on March 10), Aadi had over six releases in the last 14 months - a feat matched by no other counterpart in Telugu. CSI Sanatan, much like his web debut Puli Meka and Black, is an investigative thriller, where he plays the role of a crime scene investigator. Sivashankar Dev directs the film.

The story of CSI Sanatan revolves around the murder of a high-profile CEO, where the investigator, played by Aadi, interrogates several suspects in the case and finds out the killer. Chaganti Santaiah wrote the story for the film bankrolled by Ajay Srinivas under Chaganti Productions. Misha Narang plays the female lead in the film that also stars Tarak Ponnappa, Nandini Rai, Ali Reza, Vasanthi and others.

Surprisingly, the makers haven’t gone overboard with the promotions and the pre-release press meet was organised amidst very little hype or hoopla. While there are several small budget films releasing in theatres this week, CSI Sanatan is the only major release with recognisable faces. In a recent interview, Aadi Saikumar stated he’ll be taking a break from work post the release of the thriller.

“I have been working non-stop for over three years now and I want to take a break. I plan to make use of the time to reflect on what I’ve done till now and reconsider my future choices. I have okayed a script to be produced by Bekkem Venugopal, it has great shock value and will surprise audiences. You can expect another film from me by the end of 2023 or early 2024,” the actor said in a chat with us.
