The Malayalam film, Aalorukkam, which received accolades for its performances in 2018, has finally made its way online. The movie, which stars Indrans in the lead role, is now streaming on Manorama Max.

The popular Malayalam OTT platform now offers the film with English subtitles. Indrans' highly praised performance in the movie earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor, while the movie itself took home the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues in 2018.

The difficulties of an Ottam Thullal artiste are depicted in Aalorukkam, which marked V C Abhilash's directorial debut. He first searches for his lost kid and then battles to accept her for who she is. In this film, Srikanth Menon plays a transgender character named Priyanka, while Indrans plays Pappu Pisharody. Sajitha Saawariya, Sameera, Vishnu Agasthya, Sajith Venugopalan Nambiar, Shaji AJ, and Sreeshma Vijayan all have supporting roles in this movie.

Samlal P Thomas has handled its cinematography, while Vishnu Kalyani is the editor. Ronnie Raphael has composed music for Aalorukkam, whose screenplay has been penned by the director himself. V C Abhilash's other films include Sabhash Chandra Bose.

This week, a number of Malayalam flicks made their digital debut. These include - Maine Pyar Kiya, Sahasam and Checkmate. Meanwhile, Sahasam is streaming on Sun NXT and Checkmate on ZEE5 in multiple languages. OTTplay Premium subscribers can access these movies online. Oru Vadakan Pranaya Parvam is the other Malayalam flick to debut on Manorama Max, along with Aalorukkam.

Nithya Menen's critically acclaimed film, Kolaambi, is also accessible on Saina Play. A couple of films had released last week. Hridayapoorvam and Arjun Ashokan's Sumathi Valavu are streaming on JioHotstar and ZEE5, respectively along with OTTplay Premium. Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira and Sarkeet are available on Netflix and Manorama Max.
