Aashaan - The film stands tall solely because of Indrans, who is flawless as a lively old man who would make one giggle and cry a little. This is the element that boosts the experience of this movie.

Malayalam film, Aashaan, hit the big screen today (February 5). The film, directed by Johnpaul George of Guppy fame, excels in a number of ways. Here are some reasons why you shouldn't miss it in theatres.
Watch Indrans' latest hits such as Kerala Crime Files 2 and Joemon Jyothir's films including Vaazha, The Pet Detective & more on OTTplay Premium
Ambitious filmmaker Anand can only work with hitmaker KRS by arranging a circular flat as the set for the latter's upcoming directorial. He begs his friend who lives in such a building to help, but the friend connects him with Aashaan, a popular local who wants to work in films. Because they both enjoy films, the two immediately become friends, but they also face some of the difficulties in the business. The film's focus is if this is their only chance to make a name for themselves in the film industry.
The film stands tall because of Indrans, who is flawless in his part as a vibrant old man who would make one giggle and cry a little. As expected, this is the element that boosts the big-screen viewing experience of the movie. Watching Indrans take charge of the story with his charming portrayal of Aashaan is a true pleasure.

Another of Aashaan's most striking features is its examination of the realities in the world of cinema without referring to any specific industry. The director makes fun of the common issues of ego conflict and hypocrisy that often influence the result of an artwork. Instead of using excessive amounts of sarcasm, these parts are told in a humorous way.
Anand's portrayal by Joemon Jyothir frees him from the comedian stereotype. Shobi Thilakan as KRS and Bibin Perumbilli as Superstar Karan Chanth are the real finds. Kanakam as Violet Aunty also bring in comedy in the movie. Even though they play minor parts, the entire ensemble performs a good job.
