About Abar Proloy Season 2

Abar Proloy 2 follows Special Crime Branch officer Animesh Dutta as he takes on a deadlier criminal web stretching across the Sundarbans and beyond. After dismantling a network of women and child trafficking in the first season, he now faces a wave of crime from gold heists and organised syndicates to corruption and betrayal that puts the safety of countless lives at risk.

What happened in Abar Proloy?

Abar Proloy is a Bengali crime thriller spin-off of Proloy that follows Special Crime Branch officer Animesh Datta (Saswata Chatterjee) as he uncovers a case of human trafficking in the Sundarbans, where teenage boys are used to lure young girls, and fights to bring the traffickers to justice.

He is sent to the Sundarbans to break a brutal trafficking racket targeting young girls, led by a ruthless mastermind and a gang of teenage boys known as "Hujjas". The traffickers use young local boys to lure girls into fake love traps before trafficking them. Animesh faces enormous challenges from powerful criminals, corrupt locals, and a masked mastermind, often referred to as "the devil."

Abar Proloy features a cast including Saswata Chatterjee as Animesh Dutta, Gaurav Chakrabarty as Kanu Kole, Ritwick Chakraborty as Shombhu Baba / Haru Bag, and Koushani Mukherjee as Mohini Maa / Moni. It also casts Paran Bandopadhyay, Sohini Sengupta, Saayoni Ghosh, June Maliah, Debasish Mondal, and Partha Bhowmick.
