Kohrra Season 2 on Netflix has been receiving significant praise from critics and audiences, largely for its intense atmosphere, character-driven storytelling and stellar performances, with many calling it a "masterclass in mood-driven narrative". The series stars Mona Singh and Barun Sobti. Now, Abhishek Banerjee shared his rave review and called it the best Indian series so far.

Taking to his Instagram account, Abhishek Banerjee shared his review for Kohrra Season 2 and shared that the series is one of the best so far. He wrote, "If we can celebrate adolescence!! We need to immediately start celebrating Kohrra 2. The best Indian series so far .. and that too a second season."

Meanwhile, Adolescence is a 2025 Netflix miniseries created by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne about a 13-year-old boy, Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper), arrested for the murder of a classmate, focusing on the impact on his family and the justice system. The series has been widely acclaimed worldwide.

Praising director Sudip Sharma. Abhishek said that he has been consistently churning out the best stories from India for quite some time now, maybe more than a decade. The series is also co-directed by Faisal Rehman. Abhishek wrote, "And now he (Sudip) shows restraint in his direction with @faisalabaad waiting to let go of the noose just at the right moment. And boy when he lets go it hits you harder than your own life."

Abhishek said that he had felt such empathy and compassion that he did not even have the vocabulary to express what he felt. He also said that he felt very lucky to have known that man personally and to have him as a friend, mentor, and advisor. "Well it’s not all about him though.. it’s always about the team. @gunjitchopra & @diggi_sisodia who hv co written the show hv again hit it out of the park," he wrote.

Abhishek also said that one could relate to Punjab even without having visited the state, as it was all reflected in the writing and beautifully captured by the wonderful cinematographer Isshan Ghosh, who had also shot Stolen.
